Missed my Chance to See a Small Tsunami

I had considered surfing in Crescent City yesterday, but didn't. Had I gone I would have seen a small (6 foot) tsunami resulting from the quake near Japan.

Apparently the tsunami sirens went off, but the only damage was to some floating docks. The beach at which I surf should have totally flooded -- would have been interesting. I would have gotten the heck out of Dodge if I heard the sirens, though.

Re: Missed my Chance to See a Small Tsunami

By the time I'd heard about the tsunami warning, it was being canceled. We are too far from the coast to be seriously affected anyway. But it was sort of interesting - not something that you hear everyday.
