Model with 20" waist

I heard about her the other day while listening to the radio on my way to work, so I googled to confirm and sure enough:

Model has 20-inch waist; Ioana Spangenberg*says her

Very, very weird. Be careful what you wish for.

Made me look. Ummmm....

Audrey Hepburn also had a 20" waist and probably was a lot more appealing to men than this babe. Not as tiny, at 23", but here at the beginning of this clip, Vivien Leigh is being corsetted by Hattie McDaniel to shrink another inch or so down, in one of my favorite GWTW scenes:

I do not find a 20 inch waist appealing, period, and would much rather have a partner that shares my enjoyment of good food and is not reluctant to partake.

As I recall from the book, Scarlett O'Hara in "Gone with the Wind" had an 18" waist, even smaller than in the movie.

A 20" waist is not all that unusual. Some people just have a genetic tendency to have a small waist relative to their overall size. I had a 20" waist (without a corset) until I was college age, due to being tall with a long torso and being slender at the time.

Now, of course, things have gone to the opposite extreme as far as my waist size goes.... I am still tall, though.

Be thankful; I am not even tall anymore. I need a way to put hydraulic fluid back into my discs.

That just doesn't look right. IMO she needs to put on a few pounds!

I was telling DW about the woman with the 20" waist. She reminded about a show we saw on TV where this woman had a couple ribs removed in order to achieve a smaller waist. It might have been one of those medical shows that were popular a couple years ago. I was wondering
if anyone remembers that story.

I think that the reason she looks so thin, is that she is a model and tremendously tall with a big frame. So, her 20 inch waist looks like a 10 inch waist might look on a normal woman.

Just searching the web, I found a photo of what a 20 inch waist looks like on a more normal sized woman.

I'd say she proves that you "can be too thin". Still waiting for an example of "being too rich"

Here's an example of being too rich. It's really going to hurt when he lands!

I love this scene too. IMHO, the lady in the OP looks bizarre. In this clip, Scarlett looks slender, yet healthy and beautiful.

I think you've got it right. I like an 'hour-glass' figure, and a slim waist is great (with proportion), IMO. But there is something kinda freakish about the model in the OP.

But that is apparently her natural build, so it is what it is. Just not my cup-of-tea (physically).

Funny story...when the weather was hot, we college girls wore hip-hugger jeans and halter tops to class...I dated a guy who said he would sit behind such girls and pretend that, with their long hair covering the halter top back, they weren't wearing anything on top! [So, dads of daughters, there is one more data point to fuel your paranoia ] (He made this comment right after complimenting me on my small waist. Nowadays I don't know why I put up with him).

IIRC that was a supposition/rumor about Raquel Welch...back when.

She is definitely not my cup of tea, looks kind of like a mud dauber. Must be her stature and wide hips that make her waist look even smaller. I'd vote for Vivian or Audrey, much more appealing.

Now mud dauber, hearing that brings back memories.

That look is definitely not my cup of tea. I don't understand why she dons a corset when her waist is already so tiny.
