Any baseball fans out there who have read this book?

I'm sure that this book would not be interesting to anyone who does not follow baseball, but if you have any interest in our national pastime, it is a facinating read.

If you read it, what are your thoughts?

inside note: Kevin Youkilis (The Greek God of walks) broke into the major leagues (Red Sox) last Saturday and hit a home run in his first at bat.

Actually, Youkilis hit a homer in his second at bat. He went 2-4 in each of his first two games. He'll be back in the minors next week when Mueller is ready to play, but I suspect he'll be in the starting lineup next year for sure.

Moneyball is great. I'm running my fantasy teams on SABRE principles this year and so far it is working well :) Can we tie it to FIRE somehow? Maybe the value of sound analytical research to support your decision making. That might be a stretch...

Yeah I can tie fantasy sports to ER. I have the time to run 5 football teams in the winter when most of my friends dont have the time to do 1.

:D
