Moonbow in Queensland

This is a great photo IMHO.
He was there to photograph the transit of Venus. Click on "incredible images ..." to see the Venus transit and the Hubble Telescope transit across the sun. Must be some kind of amazing photo equipment!

Thanks for the pic. Sorry about the link problem. It is still working for me so I don't know how to fix it. Maybe if others are having a problem, they could chime in. The other pics on the link are cool, too.

Great pictures. I met Thierry a couple of years ago at NEAF (Northeast Astronomy Forum) in New York. He gave a presentation about some images that he took of the International Space Station as it transited the sun. Really impressive guy and a great presentation on the challenges he faced to get the shots and the equipment modifications that he did in order to modify a telescope mount to track the ISS. Here's a link with some of his other work:
