More Celebrity nonsense...

Looks like another drug-addled spoiled Hollywood brat isn't gettting enough airtime (Alternate title: Why our legal system has become so dysfuntional)

Lindsay Lohan takes swipe at E-Trade babies

Published: 3/9/10, 4:45 PM EDT

MINEOLA, N.Y. (AP) - Lindsay Lohan is feuding with the E-Trade babies.
The actress has filed a $100 million lawsuit claiming a television ad for the Wall Street firm that aired during the Super Bowl and Olympics was modeled after her.
Talking babies in the ad engage in chatter that refers to "milkaholic Lindsay." The 23-year-old actress has famously sought substance abuse treatment.
Lohan's name was never mentioned. But her New York lawyer contends that "Lindsay" is an equally recognizable moniker for her client - like that of Oprah or Madonna.
Lohan's legal team is seeking an injunction to stop future airings.
An E-Trade spokeswoman is declining to comment

I think the E-trade commercials with the babies are really funny. Never associated them with any celebrities- anyone else see this as an issue?

You're right - its nonsense. Another whiney celebrity looking for fame and fortune the wrong way. I'm on the side of E-trade and really enjoy their ads

I keep up with celebrity gossip unintentionally through a relative who is a serious scholar of the Hollywood A, B, through Z listers; I've seen that commercial a few times and I never thought of Lindsay Lohan. Her people are just drawing attention to her being a "-holic" by bringing this suit.

Actually, the eTrade people should sue LL's people for defaming the babies by trying to associate her with them!

I'm guessing it's just a publicity stunt. ETrade is using a countersuit for publicity as well.

BTW, weren't the first etrade baby commercials a lot funnier and better done? These two:

I thought of Lindsey when heard the phrase milkoholic, I thought it was pretty funny. I suspect the lawsuit is good publicity for both. Actually, if you are Lindsey Lohan I don't think it is possible to have bad publicity anymore.

I have this mental image of her in 2020:

"What'choo talkin' 'bout, Willis? "
