I think this is some sort of code and only makes sense if you read it upside down.

I was born & raised in NC, but moved away in my early 20's to Texas. I haven't lived there since, but go back often. 5 times in 2012. My mom, sisters, 1 daughter, grand daughter etc are all there. Anyhow, I hope you've found a nice part of the state where you'll be happy.

I've only ever been to Charlottesville, on business. It seemed quite nice when I was there. I hope you enjoy it (and I think it admirable that you don't want to move an old cat to a new and unfamiliar place).

Special command codes are needed whenever the starship passes from one galaxy to another, REW. You'll need to input this sequence of characters into the decoder ring:

I live in Orlando Florida, and am grateful for our current weather whenever I hear about the chilly stuff going on elsewhere. Going to be low 70's all week and sunny as usual. Welcome Khan...even if it's just for a brief stay.

I have no idea where you plan to settle in NC, but I like the Boone area. And it was included as one of the top 10 best places to retire in a recent article posted on this forum.

Once you move perhaps another cat will find it's way to you....they are good at that.

Khan-Charlottesville is quite nice. After you visit Virginia, it's only about 292 miles SW to Charlotte, NC. But, I'd recommend either the NC mountains or coast instead of Charlotte. Best of luck.

PS: suggest you use your Garmin instead of your Gumby for directions.

You're right; it was Charlotte. Mea culpa. (I've also been to Charlottesville, but not on business)

Take the burden of death off the cat and move to NC now with it.

Khan, how exciting! I am so happy for you, since IIRC you wanted to move out of your present home and this move to NC could be a refreshing change for you. I think NC is one of the most beautiful states, and hope you like the new environment there.

What part of NC? Ocean? Mountains? That state has so much to offer.

Hope you find warmth in Florida...

...and for North Carolina, yes every once in a while a change can do a body good.
