My new travel air purifier

I'm out of town today, in a hotel.

The hotel isn't as nice as in the pictures in the internet. I got what I paid for. Worst, I'm in a no smoking room yet there still is the scent of smokers from pasts guests. It even gave me a headache.

Then my Aha! moment came. While out to lunch there was a local WallyWorld, so I decided to check and see if they had any small purifiers.

Yes, the do! Here's what I got:

Walmart.com: Holmes aer1 ready Mini Tower Air Purifier HAP9414-U: Heating, Cooling, & Air Quality

As soon as I got to the hotel room, I turned it on and within minutes, noticed a big improvement. For a small one, it sure is effective. I like that it has a carrying handle. The only thing I dislike (but can live with) is the control knob is slippery (usually takes two hands to turn).

I'm gonna use this baby to carry along during my travels. I may even use it around the house.

Some hotels have these available for use. We ended up in a no-smoking room that smelled like a cigar sampling room, the hotel brought in an ionizing filter and it helped a lot.

Might help to call ahead though.
