Neil Cavuto
I'm sure you have seen this guy on Fox business news over the years. I had no idea he has had such health problems. Another sad story on what can happen to anyone at any age.

Money, Fame, Intelligence don't mean much when you are whacked with sickness. I guess it is true that good health is worth everything.
I wish he and his family the best.

Re: Neil Cavuto
My mother has suffered from MS for 29 years. The doctors discovered lesions on her brain 10 years ago. Her cognitive functions have been rapidily declining during the last two years. She has difficulty balancing her checkbook, remembering what day it is, etc. It's only a matter of time before she going to need to be in a full time care facility.
My sis and I were just talking yesterday about making power of attorney (durable and financial?) arrangements.
MS is pretty nasty.

Re: Neil Cavuto
Neil Cavuto wrote a book about his illnesses and other people's illnesses, many of whom I am sure you have heard of (Joe Torre, Geraldine Ferraro, etc.). I believe the name of the book is "More Than Money". I read it and found it interesting, especially if you or someone in your family has some serious illness.
cube_rat, if that is you in the picture, I got to ask, 'How is your back?'

Hehe, I finally changed my avatar back. I used it for Laurence's party thread and intended on changing it back to my rat pics, but got side tracked the last couple of days.

Re: Neil Cavuto
I'm expecting live footage at next year's party, cube_rat!
Neil was always the least objectionable anchor on that "news" channel. Now, having read that article, I have to admit I'm beginning to like the guy. Fought off cancer, struggling with MS, yet he and his wife adopt two children? Pretty impressive.
