A few weeks ago there was a coupon for free BIC Gel-Ocity pens. I did notice
that the drying time was noticeable but thought they might be useful for writing checks that could not altered. A few weeks later I noticed these unusual dark smudges, first on the white fever thermometer, then on my hands.

I didn't associate it with anything at first but eventually traced the problem to a single unretracted Gel-Ocity pen in the cup where other pens, pencils, high lighters, rulers etc were stored.............kind of like poison oak...... touch one thing and it gets on everything.........a lump of moist goo surrounding the tip
in the bottom of the cup..........I was surprised that it wasn't dried up.

Not even free since I won't get reimbursed for the sales tax. Decided that I prefer the old style ball point pen after all.
