Atlanta 35,Tampa Bay 0 with 7:05 left in the 2nd quarter. Too bad the NFL doesn't have a mercy rule.

Ex Bear Hester does it again for Atlanta. Geez, at my extended age I might be able to make a play tonite against Bucs.

With a full quarter to go. When do you call the dogs off. I remember when super bowl Bears beat Cowboys 44-0. Ditka apologized to Landry saying I'm sorry but my 2nd and 3rd line guys like to play too.

Hmm...Since I've been pissing and moaning for years/decades about not having a team to follow I decided that I'm going to root for my closest home team starting this year. I live half time+x days in SW FL, and since the other location would have me rooting for either the Redskins (impossible, I've hated them my entire life) or the Ravens (impossible, freaking Cleveland Browns) I decided to choose a FL team. Can't be the Dolphins (see Redskins, above), so I'm now declaring myself a Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan. Go Bucs! Next week.

It doesn't work that way. It starts in your hometown or one that is closest to you that has an NFL team. Your father starts you old as a little sprout about football and may take you to a game or two. The lifelong fan thing then starts. Of course through the generations the men in our family have always been Bears fans except my father who was a Cardinals fan because they use to play in Chicago years ago and my son who cherished the Green Bay Packers because of Brett Favre has now been a lifelong fan.....Oh forget it......do what you want!

That was embarrassing last night. The entire 4th quarter was garbage time.

I would not be so sure, most teams will kick it away from him from now on.

This is just one game. I think my wife could have run one back on Tampa last night. Hester was getting tackled by his shadow last year when he was with the Bears. Not to take anything away from his hall of fame career but he was pretty much washed up when the Bears let him go.

That's the problem. Grew up on the Baltimore Colts. Even wore high top chucks to copy Johnny U. Then they snuck out of town in the middle of the night and broke my heart.

Jacksonville is twice as far away, so Tampa wins by default. Although Jacksonville's definitely got the coolest mascot -

That guy is certainly talented... and brave. Myself, I'm not afraid of heights either. I'm just afraid of falling!

I hope that tomorrow the Seahawks do to Denver what that mascot did at 3:38 & 4:35. Kick some Bronco a**! Go Hawks!

You must mean by "sitting" on the bench.
