They are stuck with Cutler for at least 2 more seasons which almost certainly means they are stuck with at least 2 more losing seasons.

I see a different attitude from Cutler this year (so far). So I expect this year to be different. I say 11-5. Go Bears!

Two more seasons? Darn, I thought this was his final contract year.

I have little hope for Da Bears until after the Cutler era and more rebuilding.

He's like 1-10 against their divisional rival Packers?

The press has McCarthy of the Packers saying they are going kick the Bears' ass. Then John Fox says pretty much something like "Yep, they will probably will kick our ass." Gotta at least admire the honesty.

No, the Bears made one of the worst decisions in sports history by signing Cutler to a 7 year $126 Million contract. He is now starting his second year of that contract. The first 3 years($54 million) are guaranteed. How do you give a very mediocre quarterback one of the highest salaries in football history and keep your job?

Proof that just paying someone more doesn't make them a better player.

Well, that GM and coach is gone now.

You don't - general manager Phil Emery was fired.

Well that's good at least. Too bad they couldn't claim temporary insanity and get the contract voided.

In all fairness to Cutler, his offensive line has been horrendous. Hes got a cannon for an arm, but he's very undisciplined. If he had the right QB coach and a good OL, you would see him in the pro bowl. Having said that, in the situation hes in....he sucks big time.

Maybe the Patriots got a video recording of a calendar to confirm it.

Cutler is just too inconsistent. He did play well in that Bears/Packers game in the frozen tundra of Soldier's field a couple of years back, with the winner advancing to the playoffs. (The broken play, Rodgers to Cobb game).

But mostly, turnovers are too familiar.

I'm finding that the only days I really do need to remember are "taking out the trash days" and "doctor appointment days". Anyhow, FI by 2024, hopefully you will not need to know what day it is before 2024 comes around. In any case, 2024 will come around more quickly than you can imagine.

Furthermore, I think that the Steelers have one of the worst head coaches in the league (this being the NFL thread). I know he's won two Super Bowls, but he did it with Bill Cowher's team.

Most people would say Tomlin is one of the top 10 coaches. He may have had a lot of Cowhers players in his first SB win but his second was 5 yrs after Cowher retired. There were very few Cowher players left by then.

I'll say this. We will find out how good Tomlin is when Rothlisberger is gone. I say the same thing about Bellichik. The true test is how good he is without Brady.

The Patriots went 11-5 in 2007 with Matt Casell as their starting QB...

A 5 game drop off from 16-0 the season before with Brady. Lets see what he does with a 12-4 quality team that loses Brady the next season (whenever that happens which will be pretty soon). If losing Brady costs them 5 games, they will be 7-9. Time will tell.
