After what the Chiefs did to the Texans last week I was worried, but the Patriots won without too much fuss thankfully. This is not the best Patriots team ever, so they're not likely to go all the way, but some key players are healthy again so 'any given Sunday.'

I have not watched Carolina all year, so I am looking forward to seeing them in action today. With that record, they're obviously for real.

Nothing against the Broncos (though Peyton needs to retire), but some of our best friends are lifelong Steelers fans, so we have to go with the Steelers irrespective of the advantage to the Patriots.

It is very sad how injuries affect every team's chances, but an inevitable part of the game. Funny how some fans bemoan their injured players while failing to acknowledge opposing teams injured players. It would be great if that could change, but I don't see how without changing the game beyond all recognition. Especially when they won't really deal with gangsters like Burfict, Suh, etc. ...

Carolina is literally running over Seattle in the early going... 75 yards in 4 plays for a TD.

14-0 with 3:12 gone in the first period... they seem pretty real to me (and to Pete Carroll I suspect).

Long way to go, but a pretty good start for Carolina.

If they score again after the second interception then put a fork in the Seahawks.....

If the Panthers score many more touchdowns they are going to run out of footballs giving them to all the kids.

The last time I saw a playoff team own another team like this was Seattle over Denver in SB48. Karma. One of the talking heads said the same at halftime. But there's another half to play and I suspect Seattle will come back, part way...

Well they just scored 14 unanswered points in the first 7 and 1/2 mins of the 3rd quarter.

I think the NFL should prohibit a team having receivers with the same surname as their quarterback. Rodgers to Rodgers. Wilson to Wilson. Yuk!

Seattle is sure making it interesting after getting dominated in the first half.

Not as close as the score suggests but good that the Seahawks made a game of it.

Hard to believe they didn't change uniforms at halftime. Carolina scored 31 unanswered and then went to sleep in the second half, Seattle scored 24 unanswered in the second half after being comatose in the first half. Weird...but that's the NFL.

I wouldn't normally care much about the DEN-PIT outcome but I want to make the Pats play on the road, so go Broncos!

Carolina's defense looked like they were playing a prevent for the entire third quarter.
