It's great for the NFL to have such a big game to open the season on Thursday. #4 and #5 in the power rankings. But my guess is both teams would rather have a game or 2 under their belts before playing such a big game.

Rankings look mostly as expected, though I would have thought BUF, NO & SF would have ranked a little higher. We'll see...

Have to agree NE vs PIT is a tough place to start for both. Wish it was at PIT, so NE wouldn't have the home game expectation to win.

Do Your Job: Belichick on the NFL network last night was excellent.

Its amazing how much a team's schedule affects their final record.

Did you also watch Do your job: overtime immediately after with Steve Mariucci and Brian Billick? That was excellent as well.

I decided to slap on a one game suspension to myself for tonight's game and will not watch. After that, I'm ready for some football.

Can we watch? Have they moved Thursday Night Football back to regular TV? Or is it still NFL Network only?

I didn't notice it on my TV schedule when I checked earlier, so I assumed it was on a channel I don't get. Turns out TV Guide labeled it Sunday Night Football, hence why I didn't notice when checking for Thursday Night Football. Is it really Steelers v Patriots tonight, or do they have that wrong too?

CBS will cover some Thursday night games. They mentioned that week 2 is the Denver vs Chiefs game. If the broadcasting is like last year, then the 1st half of the season, CBS will show the Thursday night games along with cable. The towards the end, cable only.

I watched the game last night. I think I recall the Steelers and Patriots playing against each other. However, I'm not sure that last night was Thursday.

Hope this helps.
