My TV is usually tuned into the Western Channel or to AMC or TCM chasing down good ol' westerns!!! Plus, Monday thru Saturday, we watch Gunsmoke at noon and Bonanza at 1:00 pm on one of the Chicago stations.

Except for the old westerns, and programming on RFD-TV and Rural-TV, there isn't much that I find worth watching on the idiot box anymore!!! Tonight is a classic example.....we watched some good country and bluegrass music shows on RFD-TV. Now we're listening to the Grand Ole Opry "Live" on Sirius Satellite radio. When that gets over, we'll turn the TV back on for more music shows on RFD-TV. Then 'Destry' (1955) with Audey Murphy comes on at 12:35 a.m. on the Western Channel!!!

Heads up that there is a new show called Longmire starting this week, set in Montana and shot in New Mexico. You might enjoy it.

When I watched "Avatar" recently I thought that it is the update of the "good indian-bad soldier" western.

I'm 100% with chris2008. Thought the same thing when Avatar came out on cable and I watched it.
