online book on ETF's

A friend just asked me a question about something he was reading online, and I looked thru it to answer him. Seems like a good online book to me. It's short, just 20 odd 1 or 2 page "chapters". It is pro ETF's, and also talks about different investment fee structures.

Re: online book on ETF's

Here's the paradox - the very low cost, ease of constructing multiple asset classes, shorting, tax advantaged selling, etc. makes them overused/traded - thus negating their inherent advantages in many, too many instances.

Don't quite understand the comment where something is overtraded and shorted negates the advantages of ETFs. I think the writeups are pretty compelling if you believe in efficient markets.

Yep

If you master the nuts and bolts, stay disciplined, and they fit your ER stituation - ETF's are yet another way to skin the cat.

My latest Vanguard blurb has an article on ETF's. A little to general.
