Other investment forums???

I've very much enjoyed and appreciated the exchanges and advice I've had here for investing for my retirement. I'm wondering about other investment forums out there to get some other opinions. Do you have some favorites?

What is your basis for this statement. In post after post it seems like you just like to see your trival in print. Get a life.

Try this one. It is especially good if you own Vanguard funds or are considering owning them.

Re: Other investment forums???

I'll second mickeyd's suggestion about http://www.diehards.org/. We often mention Vanguard here, and I have most of my assets there, but that company seems to be going downhill in several respects. When I started with them 13 years ago, I thought they were terrific. Now I tolerate them because of their low costs. The diehard forum digs into some of their ongoing problems (and many other more positive things) like no other forum I know of. It was there that I learned the truth about what happened with the Total Bond Market Index fund a couple of years ago.

You might try these:

http://www.retireearlyhomepage.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl

http://www.raddr-pages.com/forums/

All of the forums have their own culture. Then, as new posters come and irritate existing posters till they leave, the culture changes. It's interesting to monitor several sites and watch the culture and content of each one change. The board you feel at home with today may become hostile and unpleasant in a few months -- or vice versa.

I like chucks latin version better.

Sometimes its the old posters who create the hostility.

But then they pull up their pantyhose and leave

Hi Cut-Throat,

I thought you had copyright protection on that. But with your permission, I'll give it try soon.

Re: Other investment forums???

This is for Stevelb, who opined that I just like to see my "trivia" posted. Hey Steve, let's mix it up a little.

First, I'll bet you are a Bob Brinker fan. That's okay.
You know my opinion, posted several times;
an ignorant, overrated snake oil salesman. Also,
I do not post trivia. Every pearl that rolls off my tongue
(or keyboard) is filled with fascinating observations and
witty anecdotes. Finally, take your best shot.
