Yup, If your job can be done over a phone line, it can be outsourced. The worst part is most all high paying jobs can be done over a phone line.

This isn't necessarily a bad thing. I can think of a few corporations that might benefit by outsourcing the jobs of several of their executives. Can we outsource the President? We might be better off if we just had someone call it in from India.

I just saw a show on PBS where a surgeon in Montreal did a 'remote' surgery on a patient in the Canadian Arctic. He had robots on each end, a video monitor, and basically a pair of 'joysticks'. This cut costs for the Canadian healthcare system.

And remember patients in increasing numbers are flying to the far east for surgery that costs about 20 cents on the dollar here.
