Reminds me of the vultures that used to descend on lottery winners before they offered a lower, immediate payout. People would sell winnings for pennies on the dollar to get their hands on a wad of cash.

Oh, why won't the gubmint protect us from these horrible lenders Just because I didn't read the contact that said I was paying 22% interest before I signed it...

Outrageous. I think the regulator is right - payday loans in sheep's clothing.
