Anyone else have this problem? XOM pension lump sum was offered and accepted. All paperwork was processed in the late summer/early fall. Payout was due 12/1, with check to be sent to Fido. (Why they still insist on issuing paper checks is a different story). Four letters arrived for me, saying check was processed, thanks for working with us & survey, confirmation of election, and BNY check advice.
But....check never made it to Fido. "It's the mail, it is the busy season" - yet 4 letters made it to Chicago, and the check couldn't find its way to Cincinnatti??
So, the only course of action is request another check -- expect it in 10 business days.
I'm sure I am the 1 in 1000 that had this happen -- or am I? Please let me know if you experienced a delay - especially with BNY or XOM.
