Obviously don't know much about posting pics - but the link works.

Okay, I got one picture to upload so I'm in the mood. Here's a picture of an oil slick created as bunker oil still leaks from the USS Arizona after over 68 years. No picture I've ever taken (or even seen) captures the emotions one feels at the memorial.

I've been to the memorial a dozen times and hope I live to visit another couple dozen times. The colors were especially vibrant the day this pic was taken. Surrealistic on many levels.

A couple of peacocks decided that like the view from my front door. Of course the cats ignored them.

... thereby saving at least a couple of their nine lives...

I've never understood how such a beautiful bird can have such foul (so to speak) behavior.

Used to see herds, er, flocks, er gaggles of the filthy beasts terrorizing Temple Valley. See also

Can't recall if this has been resolved. In a vacuum, I'd side with the peacock. Having dealt with them, I can kinda see an insanity defense.

You'd think the local media would be stalking this story, but it's kinda dropped off the radar. Even a plea bargain would be news.

Not a very sympathetic character (the peacock killer, not the animal). Maybe she's moved to Vegas...

Spring is in the air, tra-la, tra-la.

I have no idea what today's visitor to our garden is. Somebody said immature Lesser Goldfinch and somebody else said rubbish.
