PNY Memory Chip (camera)

Is PNY considered to be a "brand" name for SD camera memory chips
(I'm assuming SanDisk is)....quality/performance/reliability.
If you really can fit 900 pics on one 2GB chip (8 MP Canon) as the owner's manual says, do you really need more than 1 2GB chip if you have the original (much smaller chip) as a backup.

Never owned a digital camera before and assuming I won't fall in love with the movie feature....or is that a bad assumption?

PNY's are just fine.

You might be wrong about the movie feature. We gave up on traditional camcorders and other odds and ends intended to take movies and found we got much better results with our digital camera and its video mode.

I have a gazillion GB's of movies at this point...
Be fearful when others are greedy, and greedy when others are fearful. Just another form of "buy low, sell high" for those who have trouble with things. This rule is not universal. Do not buy a 1973 Pinto because everyone else is afraid of it.
