Back when, and for a short while, I once had an American Motors Ambassador (not the one pictured):

It rained and snowed here today. Too cold to think about top down weather.

Yep, here in Vegas topless it is almost mandatory. Read into that sentence anything you wish. ;-)

My Wrangler in Az went topless almost all the time until I sold it a few years ago. Usually take the Corvette out topless, but its still in winter storage. I did take DW's Acura out today with the sunroof open. Great day - butterflies are out in Il already.

Although DH detests them, I love sunroofs. He wanted some of the other features on his van so he got the sunroof over his objections. I rarely get to use it even when I'm driving since he's usually along for the ride. But my Prius sunroof is open quite a bit, especially at this time of year. Love it!

DW had a sunroof on her Chevy Cavalier. The thing leaked from day one despite repeated efforts to stop the leak. Never again will we own a car with a hole in the roof sunroof.

But I do enjoy the motorcycle.

Lexus HS250 and Honda Odyssey, both with sunroofs. IN the spring and summer, it is always open if it is just me. If DW is riding, then it is closed.

Nothing but rain and a bit of snow here. Along with highs in the low 40's. Sun What is that? Wait until July.

Suspect the cause of the leak was because it was a Chevy Cavalier.

I've had numerous factory sunroofs and one after-market sunroof. Don't ever recall having a leak.

I hadn't planned on it, but I got to look at pictures of lots of cool convertibles, that's a bonus. And while it was 65°F here yesterday, they're forecasting a high of 79°F today - yee hah!

Unfortunately, I was young & dumb, and didn't always make the best decisions back then. I skidded off a curve on a dirt road & rolled it over, totalling my fine ride. I bought her new off the showroom floor after basic & tech school. Pretty impressive for a young E-3.

3.
No way to tell from the pic if it is 74-77, is there? Mine is a '76. It's my first car, purchased in '84. Get closer and you'd see it needs some paint. Has swivel bucket seats; rebuilt 350 w/4bbl carb, larger cam, dual exhaust; aftermarket sunroof, wheels and stereo. That gen. of Monte was great on the road, wasn't it? Smooth with nice road feel, doesn't feel too big.

That's what I have too, but it's way to cold to take the top off. Supposed to have a high of 32 on Sunday. Snow too. It'll come off in mid June if past springs are any indication.

I could tell from the pic it was either a '76 or '77, the 74-75 bodies are a little different, but between the '76 & '77, the only difference I could see was the tailights. Yep, she was a smooth cruiser. Wasn't my first car, but was my first NEW car. My first was a '67 Ford Custom 500, handed over to me from the parents when they bought another one. Before the Monte Carlo, I also went through a '68 Fairlane & a '71 Camaro. Went in the Air Force, and about 5 months later, that big money was burning a hole in my pocket. I spotted the Monte Carlo in the showroom, and was in love. I believe the price was all of $5700. Black paint, black interior, no vinly top, I like 'em smooth! It came stock with only an AM radio! lol She was sweet, though...

Oh yeah, no sunroof either...
