Our main camera is a Panasonic DMC-LX7 point and shoot. It's what we (mostly my wife) use on vacations, taking pictures of family events, or just taking shots around the house.
I also have a Panasonic DMC-TS3 waterproof camera we use in wet conditions (snorkeling, hiking in the rain, etc.). We don't use it much but when we need it it's nice to have.
I personally shoot video more than photos so I have a Panasonic VX981K 4K Camcorder (I just replaced my VX870K camcorder that quit working). I use it to film our vacations and hiking trips (
Some of Our Favorite Home Videos), and for my various DIY projects (
More About Anthony Watson).
I tried taking pictures with our LG2 cell phones but was not impressed. Compared to a dedicated camera the images were terrible. Yeah, they look OK on the tiny cell phone screen, but full screen on a monitor or printed out the quality is really bad. It's also awkward to zoom and take the shot on the phone. I'm sure the cameras in our phones are outdated, but I would never use our cell phones for photos unless it was the only thing I had available at the time.
