$7.15 is better than most, I'm sure

TromboneAl, every time I see your avatar, I think I'm looking at Richard Dean Anderson (aka MacGyver) from when he was in Stargate. Except the trombone doesn't fit.

(49, married; DH 53. I am fully retired as of 2015 (well ok, I still work part-time but only because I love the job and have complete freedom to call off if I want to travel with hubby for work), DH hopes to fully retire 2018 when he turns 55 to access 401K penalty-free...although he may decide to do part-time consulting)

Yes we are always up for unusual eperiences. We also share a passion for the same both winter and summer places...the photo was taken in the winter place (PV).

Good catch. I find if I put them down, I leave them behind, unless they are right in the way, in which case, they sometimes get broken!

Looks like a nice hike anyway, and while hot hopefully the weather is cooler than the weather has been in Texas lately. You're looking good too.

It did cool off considerably as we followed the trail (and catwalk) up the very narrow canyon. No doubt the stream flowing below us helped a bunch. The tiny spot in the distance is DW:

Spectacular scenery! Your wife probably looked lovely as well. (I'd remove the "probably", but my rapidly aging eyes can barely see her as a speck in the distance.)

No. The next photo shows the catwalk above the small stream flowing down the narrow canyon. We walked/climbed a few hundred yards up the canyon beyond the end of the catwalk - until it became too steep for comfort.
