Recommend a scanner?

I have been searching for a good OCR package. Have not found one yet that can do what I want.

It needs to be able to deal with formulas with Greek letters and mathematical symbols. Either recognize and turn them into characters or treat them as pictures.

Of course, it should turn them into pdf files.

Any suggestions?

DH and I just joined the 21st century and got a Lexmark 4600 wireless printer/copier/scanner. It's wireless, which is very nice, since our main computer is the laptop these days, which is usually on most of the day (our old desktop is sitting downstairs in the developed basement but it was such a pain to logon just to print something off).

We've only had it for a month or so but so far, so good. Got an awesome deal on it ($60) and it scans two sided docs, scans to pdf, etc.

Yeah, wireless is the only way to go. Particularly if you have it in a RV. Ours is this model:

Actually, I own an older version of it. I figured it was the best at the time. Had problems learning how to use it for my purposes and put it away for the time being. I followed the trail here and it seems that it is easier to use now. I may buy the new one and try again.
