Reverse phone number lookup

I have tried at least 12 (probably closer to 20) sites (via Google) and they all want me to pay. Is there a way to look up a phone number on the net for free?

I have used: http://www.yellowpages.com/reversephonelookup for free. Works for non-cell phone numbers.

You might try zabasearch.com. It's pretty good at finding people by name, and it sometimes will reverse search a phone number.

For some mysterious calls on my cell phone, I've not answered the call, but then I've googled the number which usually shows a string of posts that it's some type of boilerhouse for making telemarketing calls.

I've found the site 800notes.com to be good for checking those out. Then they go on my block list, and/or I report them to NOMOROBO.com.

Maybe, I use it all the time, it doesn't ask to be paid.

That's exactly what I do. The number always appears in a search, and yes there are always complaints associated with it.
