I was an unwilling participant in the disco period. However, Donna grew on me as she evolved and many of her songs became more rock oriented. At some point I became more comfortable with her entire spectrum of music.

I noted Donna was mentioned on the English speaking DW (German) world news today.

Toot-toot, Ah.... Beep-beep!

I was a teenager in the 70s when she hit the bilboard charts, song after song. Unbelievably sweet voice and range.
I've owned the Donna Summer Anthology CD set for years. It is my favorite music to put on while I am painting.
Mr B usually vacates the house.

My most favorite song...

I kind of liked this one. I always figured she was talking about someone like me.

I heard my first English words from her, on radio, when I was a teen on another continent. A great voice. Thank you Donna.

I think disco got a bad rap. She had a lot of great songs.

Send a message via Skype™ to kcowan
I think it was the 17 minute track that gave it a bad rap, especially if you were dancing just one dance with an acquaintance (or would be acquaintance)!

I was pretty confused as to why anyone would sing about MacArthur Park. Just seemed like a good place to get killed.

Ha

A salute to freebird5825 for posting "No More Tears". 6 months before I retired, I used to play it everyday (enough is enough, I can't take it anymore).
