NPR played an interview from 2004 today and I only caught part of it but he seemed to be a cool guy with some interesting stories of some of the more well known British musicians of his time. I have to admit he was unknown to me but after the interview I was sad to hear he had passed.

I saw him present and perform at the Oregon Festival of American Music in Eugene in August 2013. He had already had his first stroke and was not focused, but you could tell that he had once been a great performer. RIP.
