I recently watched an "instant Netflix" documentary on Les Paul - I think it was a PBS special. Very well done, really a lot of "dimension" to his life story. I think that even non-guitar geeks would enjoy it.

I can't even say "Les Paul" without saying "Les Paul and Mary Ford". They were joined at the hip in my mind, as a little girl.

Here's one you might remember:

What a remarkable artist and innovator! I admire him so much more than any of the Captains of Industry or anyone on Wall Street.

I recognize him, but not her. I must have seen him on a variety show later in his career when they were no longer a duo.
He sure can make that guitar sing. Wow!!!

I agree. This was my favorite:

Me too. In the spring of 8th grade my friends gave me a surprise b'day party. In one of the guys' rathskeller. This song was still around, and I remember very sweet slow dancing to this. My squeeze was a lovely Turkish-American girl about 3 inches taller than me, with a wandering eye.

Literally.

But she sure spoke to me.

Guitar Players - check the Gibson Guitar site and take a nostalgic look at the Les Paul models they manufactured (and continue to manufacture) over the years.
