While driving in to town yesterday morning, I saw this River Circle down near the bridge that crosses the South Branch of the Potomac. Only had my phone for a camera and the sun was brutal but you can make out the frozen circle of ice- only thing I can think of is that there is a spring or current causing the water to slowly rise at that point and then the freezing weather took over? Or maybe it's a crop circle that missed the open field a few hundred yards away, lol?
It's about 100' across and still there as of last night but forecasting temps nearly 40 today so may lose it.
