Martha, how sweet! You would always be welcome to visit me. I would even help you find a place to park your wooly mammoth.

Maybe "Saying goodbye" could be a subset of this suggested sticky: Suggestion for Obituary Thread

I think less drama is better.

If I want drama, I can go to a meeting at w*rk

Hmmm - is there such a thing as getting kicked upstairs? - now that I can reach out and touch 67.

Maybe my post count has dropped off with 'regular old geezerhood'.

Let me toss in a psssst Wellesley for old times sake.

heh heh heh - 49 to 66 was fun but I haven't found the replay button. Rats! .

Eh, what if I do not have Internet access on my future RV trek? You wishing me dead? Oh, there's the "busy" thing... OK!

But what's CU?

So much drama! That's why I keep coming back here.

Nah! Opinions are usually overrated. Each of us has several, whether we care to share them or not. RV or hotel room. Paying off mortgage or not. Steak cooked well done or rare. Chicken white meat or dark. Domestic or foreign travel. Rep or Dem or Lib or Ind. We have discussed those, plus some more.

All Most of the time, the posting is for the pleasure of the writers anyway. As a reader, one cannot let it get to his head.

I'm goin' exploring!

There is one for "Hi, I am ..." Why not one "Goodbye from ..."
For those of us that do not know if we're coming or going, would we post on both or neither?

Yeah, but where's the drama in that?

I'd appreciate a vBulletin feature that updates the poster's ranking (under their avatar) with "Infraction" or "Temporarily silenced" or "Permanently banned" or "No posts for 30 days" or similar tripwires. And after 90 days it could update my "Ignore Poster" list, too.
