Sincere thanks and goodbye for now

I know this is April Fools Day.

I have learned a lot here over the past several years, and I will always be grateful to everyone who has contributed to the site. But there's a finite set of questions related to ER, and I find I am repeating myself all too often. I'm tired of hearing myself talk on ER topics. More importantly, when I look back at some recent posts, I have not always been as respectful as I should be. Members here deserve nothing less usually (see I did it again!).

So I thank you all and wish you all the best.

I may still look in occasionally, or even rejoin one day, never say never.

Peace

Sorry, but I don't buy it. Someone obviously hacked Midpack's account and posted this hoax announcement.
If it had been for real, there would have been a chart or graph attached.

That had me confused at first... Then I remembered ER for me used to be about Early Retirement. Now ER, is about Emergency Room. I've gotten advice (and some chuckles) from subjects regarding facial hair to sore feet.

Stop in and say howdy when you feel a whim Midpack.

Midpack, I hope this is not true or that you will reconsider and check in from time to time. I appreciated your posts very much over the last few years, especially around SWR and the search the holy grail of retirement calculators.

I understand the feeling. Take a break from the forum if you need to. I took month-long breaks in the past and it felt good. But don't give up on us. This forum is an invaluable resource for early retirees though one does not have to be as prolific a contributor as you have been. I have cut way back on my forum participation since last year and I now enjoy my visits a lot more.

If this is serious (and I hope it isn't), I also hope that you will take a break from posting and will be back. I enjoy your posts very much. Of course, if this isn't enjoyable for you any more then I understand and wish you well. But, I also hope that after awhile away you will find it enjoyable to come back.
