Too bad Ol' Uncle Lar and Little Tommy haven't done WLS ANIMAL STORIES for 25 years. They would have loved this story. A recurring "theme" was Little Tommy asking "(animal species such as cat, dog, python) gonna be okay, Uncle Lar?" See first story in the attached.

This thread is useless without pictures - and without a mention of Janet H and her late night encounter with a reptile in the toilet. She claims there is a photo of her fang-marked 16 year old tush in a medical journal somewhere but I won't believe it until I see it...

A venomous snake around your house is a danger otherwise leave them alone they do much more good than harm.

Oh btw, if you are in Florida you can now worry about pythons! Why people would have these then release them into the wild is beyond me. While not venomous they grow to be quite large, 20' is common and weigh 200 pounds, and can easily kill an adult (at 1/2 that size) though they couldn't eat you, if that is any consolation after you are dead!

You'll see those signs at most rest stops in Arizona.

Imagine how I felt when we started touring Iguacu Falls in Brazil, and we came upon this sign!

Is that sign supposed to say "Watch out for snakes" or is it the name of the place, with a pictorial snake warning?

According to Google Translate, it means:

-- Circulate them for Senderos

According to Babylon.com it means:

-- Travels through them relatively

And according to Yahoo Babel Fish, it means:

-- it circulates for senderos los

At Free Translation and Professional Translation Services from SDL I got "circulate for them senderos"

And Senderos in Spanish, rather than Brazilian Portugese, comes out as "Paths".

Walk on the paths. Otherwise known as stay off the grass and don't wander off.

Thanks for the clarification! We didn't know what it said, but we sure did stay on the paths - the universal picture of "snake!!!" got the point across!

But why the picture of a snake? Does the sign mean "stay on the path, because there are snakes in the undergrowth"?
