I had it done about a year after we got married. She was talking about getting a tubal litigation and I volunteered to go because for me it was an office visit and a few days off from work. And I knew that she was absolutely terrified of surgery.

I'd heard other guys at work talking about having it done and as one put it "Everything works but you're just shooting blanks." Everything went as advertised, a little sore & walked like a cowboy for a few days but no big deal.

I've heard of floors so clean you could eat off them, but I think you're taking it a little too far...

Considering what happened to the other male resident of our house, I feel lucky to be merely sterile...

I remember teenage trips to the library to research sexual techniques, venereal diseases, and birth control. I was, er, unusual, I think.

I've always taken great interest in my GFs' cycles and I'm not aware of any unwanted pregnancies.

My wife tried BCPs before we were ready to have children and within a few months we agreed that our relationship wouldn't survive the psychological effects. Gives me the chills to think about it even after 31 years.

Rhythm actually worked well for us over 20+ years so I never felt pressured to consider a vasectomy. We tried for pregnancy 3 times and have 2 children (yes, from the attempts). There were certainly times when late cycles gave us a few days of anxiety.

I have explained to many cats that they can live indoors and sleep on the bed and have food and water, but there is a small price to pay.
