Songs about change

Boats to Build - the Jerry Jeff Walker version

and

Rise Up Eddi Vedder - where my moniker comes from....

Such is the way of the world
You can never know
Just where to put all your faith
And how will it grow

Gonna rise up
Burning back holes in dark memories
Gonna rise up
Turning mistakes into gold

Such is the passage of time
Too fast to fold
And suddenly swallowed by signs
Low and behold

Gonna rise up
Find my direction magnetically
Gonna rise up
Throw down my ace in the hole

Still even today, when 10 Years After, plays I'd Love to Change the World, I get a little melancholy.

Thanks now I need to hear a little Jethro Tull, to get that song outa my head.

Here's a version of the Paul Simon song "The Boxer". It includes a verse rarely included. It's the most meaningful verse to me and talks about change.

SIMON & GARFUNKEL - The Boxer (live including rare verse) - YouTube

Here is the "lost verse"

"Now the years are rolling by me
They are rockin' evenly
I am older than I once was
And younger than I'll be and that's not unusual.
No it isn't strange
After changes upon changes
We are more or less the same
After changes we are more or less the same"

Oh bbbamI. Landslide. Always takes me right there to that place. "I'm getting older too".

"Music, Music, Music"

("Put Another Nickle In, In the Nicklelodeon....")

says redduck:

"My work here is done. I'm going to lie down now."
