Here too, thunder and lightning and torrential rain, maybe with a little hail (at least it sounds loud on my window). Even though we have not had a drought here, I love it! The birds are going to be chirping in the morning with all this water.

Frustrating that significant amounts of rain fell all around us but, as I said above, the line of storms split just as they reached us. We got less than 1/10 of an inch.

Even with the latest rain, the area is still in a severe drought. A couple of inches doesn't do much to make up for a two year shortfall.

It is still raining heavily here - - I would guess off the top of my head maybe 3"-4" since yesterday. We don't really need it. Figures, huh! Hope you get more rain pretty soon.
