special rate for transportation workers

My bil wants me to help him with his taxes. he is an over the road truck driver that is an employee not an owner operator. does anyone know of any online tax programs that handle this and espescially per diems and meal allowances, I can't seem to find any programs that cover employee paid expenses and how to recover them.

I used HR Block at Home software. Although I never have sufficient un-reimbursed employee business expenses to bother, I know that it has an entire section devoted to that issue. I don't know about TurboTax or other programs.

thanks, I'll check it out. I emailed a few different at home software entities and have been unable to find one that covers it.

Assuming that this is not his first year, look at what last year's tax return looks like as a guide to the forms needed and how they work. I'm sure TT or H&R Block will cover this.

this is his first year doing this. before he was an owner operator and had his taxes done professionally, but was out of the business for 12 years and finally went back to driving this year. taxact says they have the necessary application for what we need. thanks for the help.
