So, $1million in missing wine makes a guy feel so bad that he takes a flight out of his hotel room window. Sure you have heard stranger things, but this ranks up there.

A former personal assistant to Goldman Sachs Group Inc. Chief Executive Officer David Solomon killed himself on the afternoon he was to plead guilty to stealing more than $1 million in rare wine from his former boss.

Yep. "Thou shall not covet your boss's wine".

That's why I am not an oenophile and only drink wine bought from Total Wine or supermarkets.

As far as I can tell this was a simple case of stealing from your boss, aka embezzlement.

He was selling the wine, not drinking it.
