Remember that you're up against marketers who went to college and grad school learning how to get people to part with their money.

I ordered a Corona the other day, know why? Because I saw Charlie Sheen drinking one in a rerun of Two and a half Men. It made me wonder: if I was immersed in all the ads and culture like others are, would I spend more money?

I guilted my children into doing good in college by saying I would pay as long as they were doing good if they wanted to party it was on their own money .It worked both graduated in four years of course then they started bugging me to pay for graduate school .I learned the guilt technique well from my Irish family .
