Dunno what is available as explosives power-wise, but here's an Al Qaida assassination attempt last year. (hunhhunhhunh - assassination)

But also makes my point... there was a pound of explosives and the prince who was next to the guy was slightly injured...

I'll suggest that it was a shaped charge and Al Bummer blew it out his azz - not toward the target. So as air passengers it is now incumbent upon us to watch out for anyone pulling a pressed ham from the window seat.

Chemical warfare from fellow passengers is already a problem on long international flights...

And air traffic in North America?

Is there a documented case where all this stupid stuff actually caught something as opposed to the stuff/people it missed which just resulted in more stupid stuff?

Either this person has indeed been singled out for ogling, or her agent thinks it's a cool way to generate some publicity for her. Either way, it ain't right...

She is lucky the scumbag TSA goon did not tell her the porno-scanner was inconclusive and it is time for a gropedown in a private room.

I hope she sues them back into the Mesozoic era.

Sigh I always lusted after Donna. If she does sue them I think she would be smart to ditch the boyfriend and get an all male jury.

A very interesting in-depth interview, with TSA head John Pistole, by two his harshest critics from The Atlantic Magazine.

I must say I really wanted to hate this guy but he sounds both smart and reasonable as well understanding that TSA needs lots of changes.

I suspect that if was participating in this thread he probably wouldn't disagree with much of what is written. Of course just because he is nominally in charge doesn't mean he can fix things.

Of course it isn't right if it happened that way. But it is a bit ironic, considering that she posed for Playboy (and Hustler?). Ummm, I imagine a quick google images search will show you more than those TSA guys saw.

Maybe she's just mad she didn't get paid for the ogling.

Let me guess: you think rape victims "asked for it."

Wow, of course not. Like I said (I'll bold it this time) - Of course it isn't right if it happened that way.. But it is still ironic.

Kind of a far jump from ogling to rape isn't it

The thing that I do not get is the 'guys' would not have seen anything... they probably recognized her and said 'I saw her naked in PB'...

To me, nothing going on here...

Now they're frisking ambassadors. And apparently they frisked a former President of India. Not a lot of profiling going on yet, whatever the TSA guy said in that article...

And if you spot a flaw in TSA's own procedures... keep it to yourself.

Well... just to keep this thread alive:

Woman arrested at ABIA after refusing enhanced pat down

Other travelers KVUE talked to say they empathize with Hirschkind, but the law is the law.

"I understand her side of it, and their side as well, but it is for our protection so I have no problems with it," said Gwen Washington, who lives in Killeen.

"It's unfortunate that that happened and she didn't get to fly home, but it makes me feel a little safer," said Emily Protine.

DW and I flew out of Detroit on the 23rd. The curbside baggage guy gave us a tip that if we entered the attached hotel and went through their security checkpoint, there would be no line. Good tip! That was the good news. The bad news was that this checkpoint was staffed with 10 TSA employees and we got thoroughly screened, though no pat downs. They went through our backpacks and checked everything twice. I'm sure they were just bored.
