Here's a great list of suggested reads from the New Yorker, which is where I found that Taken article I mentioned in another thread. Lots of very interesting long-form stories, which are my favorites.
New Yorker online free for three months. What should you read?

If you are not aware, a number of libraries have free subscriptions to Zinio, an online magazine service, with access to a number of great magazines like National Geographic, Cooks Illustrated, newsweek etc. Unfortunately, my library at least, doesn't have the New Yorker.
