The story sounds similar to Tiger. And the swing is very good! He would probably kick my tail....that is why I try to always leave my ego in the car when I play golf.

!8 months old when first started huh.....I have just enough time to start on my grand daughter! She is 14 months old now. The next Lorena!

Wow, that's a pretty swing! Cute kid, too.

I think one key is to learning golf before the baseball/softball/tball swing gets burned into muscle memory. And enjoying swinging a club.

I'll play him, but he's playing from the back tees(championship) and I'm playing from the senior tees.

That reminds me of a joke about a couple who loves to golf celebrating their 25th anniversary and the woman reveals she had transgender surgery....

Right behind the ladies tees. Of course I only play them because most the guys I play with are older than me, forcing me to play the same ones they do. At my club, your suppose to be 55 so I'm only cheating by 6 months. Heh heh heh.

The guys I play with are brutal, we play blue or black, depending on the course. They think that 6600-6800 yards is the perfect length..........

In our group, we have a guy that turned 60....now he is ALLOWED to play from the white tees...........

Sweet swing. I recall seeing Tiger at about age 5 or so on the old Mike Douglas show many years ago. I believe his Dad was also on the show. I have been following his career ever since.

I was afraid of that.....those are the white tees normally. I think I have seen the "yellow" tees before on some courses. I don't remember if they were in front or behind the red but I believe they were called the youth tees. (or maybe I'm mixing up my archery shoots from way back! ) We play the white now and I still can't get in the 70's but I am also consistently hitting lots more club on the second shot. Maybe I should insist they move back to the blue until they qualify for the priveledge of the white tees!

Our senior tees are 6200, regular 6500, championship 6900. I will sometimes go out by myself on Monday afternoon, just to play 9 holes and practice. I will sometimes play the back tees just to have different shots into the green. Most of the time I only shoot maybe 1 or 2 shots worse. Kind of fun for a change.

I do know some my age that will only play the longer tees. I guess they don't want to admit to getting older. They will even walk. Idiots!

I always walk, unless it's an event with a shotgun start, where carts are required.

I save my walking for my dog. Just back from a 3 mile one.

I'm not sure about that. Many baseball players are also very good strikers of the golf ball. In fact, the body position and weight transfer are somewhat similar as the club (bat) move through the hitting area.

I think the more important key is learning the short game while you are young and fearless.

Yes, I can, but not always 300 yards in the RIGHT direction.........

As my scratch handicap uncle told me many times: "IF you could ever find the fairway, you could BEAT me straight up"!!!

Geez FD, why don't you leave your driver at home, tee off with your 3-wood, and knock it out there 265-270 IN THE FAIRWAY? Then you should be able to beat your uncle scratch.

I have to play my driver as I only average 240-250 with it. But I hit it pretty straight. Golf is no fun from the woods. Not unless your playing with Natalie.

Back when he made that comment,I was playing almost everyday and working on my game.......now I'm lucky if I play once a week.....and almost no time for working on my game.

I remember once I was playing golf in Phoenix. On the front 9, I got crushed by two guy in their late 60's because I was wild with the driver. After a beer and a sandwich, and to DW's amazement, I stopped off at the rental car, and put ALL my woods in the trunk......

On the back 9, I shot a 40. I teed off with my 2 iron the rest of the day........
