Posts like this could get you in big trouble with serious horse breeders. It's insulting to a gallant and noble animal.

Re: The Power of Makeup!
Saluki, your map indeed shows the power of makeup! Here's a "before" picture:

P.S. bar height=population

Re: The Power of Makeup!
I'd like to see some more demographic maps, like ones that show education levels...number of teeth...cheap bulk alcohol consumption on voting day...that sort of thing!

Instead of a horse's ass, you should try putting one of those little panties from the global warming thread in the panel besides GWB.

Saluki, I respect you as a financial wizard, but what's with the die-hard support for Bush? I voted for the man in 2000, but he's done none of the fiscal conservative stuff I voted for in the first place. Instead, all we get is a strange amalgam of religious baloney and the same drunken sailor spending. The worst of both worlds.
BTW, if you have ever lived in one of the fly-over states, you'll know that despite what your map shows, there's no much going on in them red states. For instance, your car can be the only one on the road on I-25 in Wyoming. That's an interstate. You might be lucky if you see a guy riding a horse some 3 miles out. That's it.

Re: The Power of Makeup!
Buns,
I agree with you on some points. I too was unhappy with many of the spending programs that have been signed into law by GW. I think the medicare drug benefit will be a giant unfunded disaster. However, there are many things I like about the man. First of all, his Christian agenda should not have been a suprise to you if you voted for him in 2000, he didn't hide it. Although I don't share his particular faith, I am a die hard opponent of child murder abortion and disarming of the sheep "gun control" so these are make or break issues for me. I also LOVE the fact that unlike our previous president he is really a man of principle and does not change his views because they have suddenly become unpopular. This used to be called character, now the left like to call it stupidity, etc.
There is more I do like about the man than I don't like. Sure, I would have liked to see him use the veto pen more often and I think our troops would be better served liberating Iran than Iraq. That being said,I shudder just thinking what would be left of our country if we had Al Gore in the oval office trying to wage a war against terrorists.
Finally, the thing I love so much about GW is how pissed he makes leftists.

Re: The Power of Makeup!
I agree with buns.
As much as I enjoy seeing liberals get mad, I can think of a lot easier and less expensive ways to see that accomplished.

Re: The Power of Makeup!
Heh heh heh heh
I love GW - he pissed this liberal off - I got off my butt and voted Democratic.
Would have voted much more often - but all the extra names on the graveyards in ST Bernard Parish were used up.
A little LA humor - heh heh heh heh heh - although I don't want to give up my shotgun and I'm still on the fence ala Hillary. New YORK City!!!!! Yikes. Ooops - that's a different ad.

Re: The Power of Makeup!
Saluki,
You like Bush for his steadfastness. For his unchanging attitudes, even when they become unpopular. For his being a Christian.
I call unyielding, unchanging attitudes when you're just plain wrong, stupid, ego driven stubborness. No wonder the man has failed at everything he's ever done in his life.
His ability to alienate the whole damn world doesn't seem to phase you at all.
Christian? I have a grapefruit in my kitchen more Christian than he is.
I'm not trying to convince you of anything. You likely belong to the same anal, paranoid, delusionary fantasy island as your beloved dubya.

Except winning two presidential elections.
It galls, doesn't it? Keep thinking about it, stewing in it. Reliving it. Remember watching the precinct returns come in on election night. Feel the anger rising . . . hate, Hate, HATE!!!

Scrooge, I think that comment says more about you than about anyone else. Now, please stop looking at my buns.

Voted for Dubya twice (fool me once...), but I'm not gonna miss him!
At least I hope not...
