The Walk Home From School

We have had numerous threads that discussed the "long walks home from school". I don't think any of us can compare to what these Chinese kids have to do today...OMG. You have to watch the video. I think I would have just dropped out.

Check out this article from USA TODAY:

15 Chinese children make deadly climb to school

Wow, what happens if it snows?

Doing things today that others won't, to do things tomorrow that others can't. Of course I'm referring to workouts, not robbing banks.

How to you tell someone that it was uphill both ways in that situation...

I am guessing there is a main road, but a lot further around.

We saw this and showed it to our kids. And asked how they would feel if their half mile walk to school was a half mile straight up a cliff instead of mostly flat or gently sloped terrain. Silence.
Retired in 2013 at age 33. Keeping busy reading, blogging, relaxing, gaming, and enjoying the outdoors with my wife and 3 kids (4, 10, and 11).
