No, Spring is on the way. DH and I have made the final plans for our trip west in May and are now planing for next year's trip to London. The Philly Flower show is opening in early March and soon I will be back out in the garden and on the porch in the sky chair sipping something nice and reading a good book.
Sounds so idyllic, Cattusbabe. Hope you pop in every once in a while to update us. I'll be taking Kindle breaks also a few hours a day when my new glasses prescription kicks in, looking forward to a free cookbook they're offering and flower shows are coming here in March also.

"DW saw some woman on the news whining because her $800k house is now only "worth" $600k."

It's obvious she is not from Phoenix! We have one community where the average loss is 50%.

My guess is I am down by close to 35 to 40% now. But it's still ok by me. I still have a lot of equity from having put a chunk down and not pulling out play money over the last 10 years. When I bail I only need enough to get a new smaller home.

Ah, no. I have dated several single moms. It's more work than it appears at first. First there is always a baby sitter. Then you become the baby sitter.

I hate this saying the most.....

"You'll just know when he is the right guy....it's this feeling."

I need something more concrete than that....like an arrow over his head pointing at him.

That just depends on the maturity of the offspring. You might have a lot of fun with my kids. Daughter is 24 and loves trying out stand up comedy on me and son at 27 enjoys philosophical discussions!

Here it is Citrine, write it down. All men are difficult, as are all women. What you will eventually know is whether the current candidate is good enough for you, given your unconscious guesses as to whether you can attract someone better before you become less attractive to men or men become less attractive to you.

It's like the physics of an arrow shot from a bow up into the air. You want to get off at the peak.

Good point - consumer confidence is an important aspect of this economy.
