Our temps have been in the low 90's very high 80's most of the summer . You can be outside but yard work is brutal . I need to weed but the only way I can manage it is to weed for a half hour ,jump in the pool and weed again for a half hour . I've been reading a lot and now I'm thinking up projects for the SO to tackle . I will be glad when the cooler weather returns .

Hey, guess what? It's raining again.
Anybody want rain? Come on up, we've got all you want.
I've seen rainy summers before, but this one takes the cake.

End of rant.

Well, if I could send you some from MN I would (even though we are technically in a drought, not nearly as severe).
But all our runoff goes down to W2R, perhaps she will loan you the Mississippi for a little while?

Our rains have resumed on a regular basis, and believe me, I appreciate them. Today, 80% chance of rain and temperatures in the 80's predicted for the coming week.

If/when the Mississippi causes any flooding, Ziggy may have my share of it. Meanwhile, it is not only a resource for recreation, transportation, and industry, but also the source of our tap water down here. Thank goodness for modern water treatment technologies!

With all that sun, doesn't the tractor seat get hot? Can one plow efficiently while standing in a John Deere?

The heat has broken in Arizona. Looks like the highs are only in the 100s and they are predicting a few days where it wont even break 100 (because of the rains). As I heard a DJ say, fall is on the way.

Also saw my first snowbird a few days ago so the migration has started.

Remember when I posted this and mentioned that they steadily forecast the high by 5-6 degrees too low? This one:

Note the forecast from the 14th to 23rd. Note that NONE of them show a forecast high of 100.

Here's what we got. This has been typical all summer with no end in sight, still -- already 104 today:

To their credit, they're pretty good at forecasting the LOW.

Zig, looks like your weatherman is an economist - and is expecting deflation to kick in any day now...

Yep - but then there isn't much yard work to be done when it doesn't rain for months. I've had to mow only two times this year.

Less chance of fire ant attack at any rate.

Seems like all the Texans need to learn the proper rain dance, and incantations. Or hire some natives who know how.

I think there's a little Cherokee blood running through my veins....I'd dance naked in the middle of the street with popped balloons if I thought it would help....
