The clipper has reached your area, that's what came through here yesterday.

Now I am getting lake effect as well. Hope the wind drops soon. May have to pick up people in at airport in Toronto late afternoon. Supposed to be over by then.

Been overcast with only occasional glimpses of sun; rumored to be mostly sunny tomorrow.

Greetings from North of Nodak. Minus 25 degrees centigrade, sunny, blue skies. Yesterday, returned from a trip to warmer climes. After a snowstorm here yesterday, it looks very pretty but my driveway is blocked by the ridge left by the snowplough. As I leave on another trip tomorrow, I am walking to neighbourhood businesses on errands today (wearing many layers) and will leave the accumulated snow for my snow removal service to dig out.

Here's a photo of my street taken while running trudging errands this afternoon....

Same here translating into "significant snowfall amounts" off Lake Ontario. Snowplow guy should be here any time tonight or tomorrow.

I have a nice fire going and football is on.

It actually warmed up overnight when clouds rolled in, it's up to -11 now. Windchill, however is -37.

Wow! That's a keeper. I, particularly, like how you can drill down and get the most detailed of data from any locaton.

Thank you.

Our lake effect snow forecast = stay close to home today.
Syracuse Area Loop - NewsChannel 9 WSYR
The yellow color is the "1 inch per hour" type stuff.

I used my cell phone to try to capture the snowfal rate. The vertical streaks of white (look at the pine tree and fence to the right of the trees for best visual contrast) are snowflakes, falling fast and thick.

It may not even be OK to go out in the 4WD Jeep in this stuff.

Sounds like she is not happy. She should go for that body painting party, might cheer her up.

-11 F in SW PA this morning. Looks like it will be close again tomorrow morning. Hibernating is good, so is ice skating, then off to the cafe for a nice warm brew.
