The Doors' music still blows me away, even today! There was something very unique about Jim Morrison's voice and the keyboards. Amazingly, I get to hear Riders On The Storm at the gym----sounds like the original with some hip hop mixed into it. Not sure if Jim Morrison is turning over in his grave or whether he would like it....

Some clearly don't qualify for "back in the day" but using iTunes > Excel > Pivot Table - ain't technology grand! Number of songs isn't necessarily same as favorites, so I included honorable mentions beyond the top 20...
