VA Laptop Recovered

The stolen VA laptop was recovered this morning and initial forensics indicates the database of employee info was not accessed. Hope you all got your free credit protection while it was available. Now, with the data intact and all of the effective new security precautions in place no special asistance will be needed

SURE!! If the banking system/credit card industry can't secure their info with state of the art systems, do we really think a cash straped org where data isn't their core mission will really be able to implement fool-proof precautions?

Each state needs to enable it's residents to lock-down their credit. Don't wait for Congress to do the job.
