Yes! What a freak.

I was new here when he got banned, but reading through his old posts (thanks Nords, I think) was almost a fond walk down memory lane. "Great SWR debate!" - too funny! I guess insanity can be funny if no one gets hurt. :

From the REHP forum ... the original is at http://www.s152957355.onlinehome.us/...m=1145158273/0

FYI... as you'll see below, in a misplaced gesture towards free speech, I gave him his own section here for a few days. The results were disastrous.

ROTFLMAO!!! C_R, you just expressed at least 2000 posters' first thoughts upon reading his posts. He gets the grand prize of Master Troll because he's so good at confounded even the brightest and most skeptical - at first anyway. At one point, CFB/TH was defending him!

In the late 1990s many of his posts on TMF were actually quite inspirational. Intercst, his long-time nemesis, actually said way back then that if you wanted to understand the mindset of E-R, just search out and read his posts.

I think his prescription ran out shortly after that though...

Re: Vanguard Diehards-- dot org!

I once referred to him here as 'Hannibal Lecter" with a computer. I mostly lurk, occasionally post and do like the diehards group, even hosted two local chapter meetings. I am glad to see him gone from there. His book has sold all of two copies AFAIK

My wife taught elementary school for some years and had a term for some kids who just seemed to draw negative attention to themselves: 'sh*t magnets'. And that would be nice in this case.

I remember there was some weird guy that posted on that forum who always talked in the third person. Can't remember his logon name though. Anyone remember?
Munchkin Man, Hombre Munchkin, Munchie, etc. etc. etc....

His "scheme" is/was penny stocks, if I remember...
Yes, thanks, that was it. I found a typical post by him:

Code:
The Munchkin Man would like to take this time and space to thank you for your tremendous treatise on the art of playing the penny stock game.

The Munchkin Man has just read through the entire thread twice. And the Munchkin Man will probably read it again.

In fact, the Munchkin Man is thinking of printing out all of your posts and putting them in a 3-ring binder for easy reference.

The Munchkin Man agrees with about 99% of what you have written. More about the other 1% later.

For example, the Munchkin Man agrees with you about the Green Baron site. When the Munchkin Man first started to invest in penny stocks over a year go, the Munchkin Man lost a lot of money on their picks.

Though it took about a year. And a few puppies with fruit peelings on their heads.

Actually Nord's your half right the first time NFB shut done was that reason, the second, was that the admin. members voted to close it down, they found they needed more time for the things they wanted to do in their life and NFB was coming last for them I was one of them....by that time he was banned at NFB...Raddr had the right idea when he started up.. ***** free from day 1....most of these old members all came from the Motely Fool Boards originally...

I lurk on the Diehard forum mostly. Lots of great information and I'm still on the wrong side of the learning curve when it comes to investing. I found it amazing how one fellow could cause such angst among the forum's members.

As for Munchkin Man. One of the strangest persons ever. Really.

Re: Vanguard Diehards-- dot org!

Looks like DH Rev 2.0 is really getting some traction. So far, good posts, lots of regulars visiting, new material (not just rehash), users are rapidly making use of the better tools (links, embedded pics, emoticons, bb code, search), the culture seems much like the more affable one that I first saw when lurking the old M* board.

I would not have predicted it's immediate broad adoption almost literally overnight. The only thing that bugs me is the question of what is the end game? As much as I like the fact the various existing ER boards have grown their own niche, customs, and following, it seems improbable that there is enough Vanguard Diehard specific material to have two dedicated boards in full simultaneous operation... not to mention being both inefficient and unavoidably redundant.

I still hope for some sort of re-integration that retains an association with M*, and maybe the trappings of the old site, but with the engine, vitality, and features of the new one.

In any event, both are to be commended for removing the scourge of ER boards everywhere.

Re: Vanguard Diehards-- dot org!

You know its become a serious matter when the only way to defeat a troll is by placing food on innocent animals heads

At least Ted got to eat the frozen waffle from his head although he seemed fairly confused about the whole process!

And I must say I find it quite amusing to see him put an entire frozen waffle in his mouth and fold his flappy lips down over it so none of the other dogs can see he has one.

Thats my next troll weapon. Multiple close-up photos of flappy lipped dogs. Maybe clown feet. Flappy lipped dogs dressed in clown shoes.

I'll keep working on it.

I dunno CFB

The male breasted picture you posted on the other thread has me in shock!

You might want to keep a few of those handy for trolls.

heh heh heh - crap! - now that the new forum is free - I've been posting and not lurking over there. Got to get a grip myself. Maybe that M* five buck fee wasn't a bad idea after all.
